  • How to create leadership containers

KEY CONCEPTS IN THIS MODULE

TAKE A MOMENT TO REFLECT BEFORE DISCOVERING

Something I'd love to invite you to ponder as we go through this module together is the idea of prioritising your own needs.

There are three questions you might like to ask yourself:

What are my essentials for a great day? Your ‘non-negotiables’!

How can I create a practice around focussing on what I can control?

What might my ‘need to have’ vs ‘nice to have’ be for myself, and eventually understanding that of my team?

Asking these questions of yourself is a really effective technique to lower overwhelm and increase the focus on the core needs - so you can achieve everything that you are capable of becoming.

As you prepare for this module, you might also enjoy reflecting on:

A challenging time you turned around, or simply ‘made it work’, because of a decision you made or a mindset you decide to own.

Let’s get started.

AFTER WATCHING

It’s time to think about your game plan and put your learning into practice.

Here are thought starters to get you going:

Reflect on how you could meet more of your needs each day.

Write down your ‘non-negotiables’ for a great day and pop it on your desk. Ask your team to share theirs as a neat team exercise.

Share the Traffic Light Framework instructional with your team and discuss it at your next team meeting by simply asking what their observations were.
