🐬 ☀️ Brisbane, you bought it to Perfect Your Pitch at We Work! . 9 Rockstars from design and finance to board directors and strategists - we agreed that whether you’re new to work, or on your next startup or board - pitching is an art challenged by the awkwardness of ‘talking yourself up’. . What works is balancing your competence with warmth, bringing humanity into your pitch and profile and not shrinking back or ‘dumbing it down’ for others to get. . The best reframing was someone shared "I'm an accountant and my pitch is like every other accountant in my company - we all have the same, so I don't know what to write. Other than I'm an accountant" What we crafted was "I'm passionate about building the capabilities of my clients and watching them fly! My success is their success." Boom 💥 this Superstar lit up and owned it. . Highlights included: 🤓 watching rockstars go from perfect strangers to owning their superpowers onstage; 🔥 Confidence to ad lib live on stage with microphones to slay their vocal delivery; 🎤 A mock panel featuring a “rotten tomatoes” audience where we coached rockstars on how to answer tricky and uncomfortable questions; ☝🏼 HC high five! . Tomorrow: audience archetypes, aha moments and what to do when things go wrong live. CANNOT WAIT!
Ain’t nothing quite like a room full of friendly faces and a bunch of enthusiastic high-fives to boost yo’ confidence! Join us in #melbourne on Sunday to dish out some luuuuurve to our Bootcamp Babes as they put their learnings into practice with a five minute presso in front of a live audience. . As part of the 2.5 day bootcamp, rockstars are encouraged to experience what it feels like to prepare for, create and deliver a ‘live event.’ It’s an adrenaline ride that’s for sure and the reason we have a live presentation at the end of bootcamp is so they can experience everything we have taught them in a live setting where all attendees want them to succeed to increase their confidence. .
